Department Overview

Harvey School District 152 is committed to providing our students with a positive learning experience to prepare them for the 21st Century. Our curriculum emphasizes life and career skills; learning and innovation skills; information, media and technology skills, as well as cognitive and social skills that will enable them to deal with complex challenges and succeed in the 21st century. Our curriculum also incorporates state of the art technology tools and instruction to support the learning process and meet the unique learning styles of all students. Through technology investment we are developing new programs that support teaching and learning and connecting with students in ways that are more meaningful and familiar to them.

The Technology Department serves as an extension to the district’s instructional program that is responsible for providing effective and timely technology support and assistance to staff and students. It is the goal of the department to provide innovative, 21st century digital resources that enhance the deliverance of curriculum and instruction to students. This is made possible through the effective oversight of instructional and information technology systems, network administration, communications, and user support services.

As a district, Harvey School District 152 is committed to an educational program that recognizes the importance of technology in our society. Every one of our classrooms at District 152 is digitally equipped to meet the needs of the 21st century learner, offering SMART Boards, Chromebooks, computers, and a wide-variety of Digital Learning Platforms centered around increasing student collaboration and engagement. Each of our buildings is also equipped with a computer lab and a Learning Resource Center for student and teacher access.
