Spring Break - No School
There is no student attendance Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26, 2019 due to Spring Break. District Office will be open.
The Board of Education of Harvey Public Schools, District 152 (“the Board”) confirmed the need to adjust the 2018-2019 School Calendar due to inclement weather conditions resulting in the closure of schools on January 25, January 29, January 30, and January 31, 2019.
Therefore, the Board of Education approved the items below at its February 19th regularly scheduled Board meeting:
-May 29, 30, 31 and June 3 of 2019, will be used a Student Attendance make up days for SY 2018 – 2019

7th Grade Girls Basketball
he 7th grade girls basketball team won their sectional November 28th beating Oak Prairie from Lockport by a score of 29-21. Congratulations to the members of the team, their families, and coaches Broy and Hines!
The Warriors advance to the State Elite 8 and play Saturday, December 1st at 11:30am versus Alton at Bolingbrook Brooks Middle School. Come out and support the Warriors!
IL Report Card
The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released our annual School Report Card on Oct. 31. The Report Card shows how well our district and schools are progressing on a wide range of educational goals. Each school’s Report Card also now includes a designation and a descriptor of how well our school is meeting the needs of all students based on 10 measures of performance, including growth.

GRAMMY Music Educator Award Nominee, Dr. Roosevelt Griffin III Ed. D.
Dr. Roosevelt Griffin III is the director of bands for Harvey School District 152 where he and his students have received international acclaim for excellence in music education. He manages music programs over seven locations with more than 250 students. He is also the elementary jazz band director for the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic; an instructor with Blues Kids of America, an interdisciplinary artist-in-residence program that helps students improve literacy through music; and the President/CEO of the Griffin Institute of Performing Arts.
