Emergency Closings

It is sometimes necessary to close the schools due to severe weather or a malfunction of vital equipment: (broilers, water mains, electrical service, etc.) School closing information is given to television and radio stations by 6:00 AM. Please do not call the Administrative Center to inquire about closing. Please watch the TV news and listen to the radio.

The official school calendar shall be extended to make up all days lost due to emergency school closing.

Storm Warning

The principal of each school is required to observe area weather warnings. In extreme weather conditions, the maximum safety of the students will be within the discretion of the individual principal.
