|Bryant Elementary School|
Dear Parents and Friends,
I would like to take this time to introduce myself and welcome you to another amazing and exciting school year. My name is Jacqanai Gipson and I am extremely excited to serve as the newly appointed Principal of Bryant Elementary School for the 2014-2015 school year.
I began my career in 1999 as a Junior High Reading Language Arts teacher in Matteson School District 159. After about seven years in the classroom I was promoted to Dean of Students. Shortly thereafter, I obtained an Assistant Principal’s position in South Holland School District 150, a position I held for the past six years.
As Bryant’s principal it is my goal to ensure that every child is intellectually challenged, in every classroom, every single day. To ensure that this is the case, we will be data driven and student centered; and we will continue to develop socially responsible children through the work of our local PBIS program. Bryant has already proven itself to be a place where great things are happening for children, but I believe we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg and the best is yet to come!
In addition to developing our students’ academic abilities, it is important to me that your child feels safe at school. Therefore, I and my staff will be visible. Furthermore, as the principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions or ideas you may have to help make this the best year yet!
