Maya Angelou Elementary School

Mission

The primary goal of Maya Angelou Elementary School is to educate the whole child morally, intellectually, socially and physically.  The school staff and community will direct the efforts to promoting self-discipline, respect of oneself as well as others.  Each person will be involved in a learning environment in which he/she knows what is expected of him/her.

The first day of school for the 2018-19 year is Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 and is a 1/2 day. Thursday, August 16th is a full day.

MAP Testing Finished

Students in K-8 at Harvey 152 recently finished taking the MAP tests. MAP tests assess the student growth throughout the school year to give teacher's more insight into what areas each student may need more help in and how much they've improved.
