It is an honor to be appointed as the HSD 152 Director of Special Services. I am committed to fulfilling the mission of our office, which is to provide students with disabilities a free appropriate public education in their least restrictive environment in order to develop their roles in becoming responsible citizens in a Global Society.
The Individuals with Disability Education Act (IDEA) require that students who are eligible for special education and related services, be provided a free appropriate public education (FAPE). FAPE means that students who are identified with disabilities will be educated to the maximum extent appropriate, in their least restrictive environment, along with their nondisabled peers. This includes regular education, special education, and alternative placements with the use of additional supports and services if necessary.

The meeting must include the following participants
