We are proud to announce that Brooks Middle School students Kevin Linares and Desiree Aaliyah-Konadu have received the "Let Your Light Shine (LYLS)" scholarship at last night’s Harvey 152 school board meeting. These students were awarded $500 and a LYLS certificate to honor the positive difference they have made in their school and community. Last week, teachers from the south suburbs attended the 2026 SDSCC (Superintendents’ Commission) Teachers Conference. This annual event brings educators together to exchange insights on educational advancement and student growth. Harvey 152 was proud to have several staff members serve as trainers. Our teachers contributed expertise on topics ranging from STEM to supporting multilingual learners, also adding a bit of fun during the pack-room line dancing class, taught by our very own Mr. Reed of Holmes School. Our Board of Education was also honored at the Ron Edmonds Scholarship Banquet during the conference's 2 days. Thank you to everyone from Harvey 152 for representing our district so well.

District-Wide Black History Celebration! Harvey 152 came together for a wonderful evening honoring Black History Month. This year’s theme was "The Importance of the Black Church in our History." Churches have long been important foundation in Black History, and the Parent Coordinators celebrated a part of that legacy, along with a special tribute to the late Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr.
The students did an exceptional job with their performance and emotional speeches. What a great night! Happy Black History Month!

Harvey 152 returns to OZ! The Brooks Middle School "Acting Up" Drama Club came together for an incredible run of "The Wiz." Directed by Ms. Buchanan, this play debuted this week and will close tomorrow at our 10th Annual Education Gala. The Brooks cast "took this show on the road" to Maya Angelou School, where Angelou students were treated to an afternoon of theatre. Take a look!
