Mr. Wright’s class from Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School visited the Orland Park Library to view the Black Lives Matter Exhibit! The exhibit features art and interviews that tell the stories of men, women and children and their experiences with social justice. Aisha Scott, District 152 alum, is the creator of the exhibit and is currently an educator in Illinois. The exhibit will eventually travel to South Africa.

Congratulations to Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School Assistant Principal Robert Rizzo! He earned the 2022 Illinois Administrator at the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance State Convention!

Harvey 152 wishes all our students, families, staff and community members a wonderful Thanksgiving! There will be no school Nov. 23-25.

Remember the Early Release Day for students tomorrow (Nov. 22) at 12:30 p.m.!

To learn about and honor Mexican culture, students at Holmes Elementary School and Brooks Middle School created beautiful Day of the Dead displays throughout their buildings. Dia de Los Muertos is a two-day celebration on Nov. 1-2 to remember departed family members and celebrate their lives by gathering with loved ones to enjoy tasty dishes and festive music.

We are so excited for Ms. Emma Beans, staff member at Brooks Middle School, on receiving her Bachelor's degree of Science in Educational Studies from Grand Canyon University!
