The theme of Whittier’s summer school was based on the story of Cinderella. Teachers created STEM activities like building Cinderella’s carriage. Way to go, students and staff!

Summer is the perfect time for a tour on the Chicago River! Our Summer School Extended Learning students took the 90-minute architectural tour provided by Wendella Boat Tours.

Online registration is open now! Students’ registration codes (Snapcodes) were sent via email at the end of the school year. Parents/Guardians of new and returning students must provide their current identification before enrollment can be completed. Whittier Elementary School created the "ABC Countdown to Summer” attendance incentive campaign. Each day, students engaged in activities beginning with a letter of the alphabet. A few examples included students participating in "C for career day,” "G for glow day,” "L for lemonade day," "M for masquerade day," and "Q for quartet day.” It was great to see students enjoying all of the activities! School is the place to be – the first day of school is Monday, August 21!
