"Ensuring High Levels of Learning for All"

Harvey School District 152 is committed to providing a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), from birth through eighth grade.  FAPE means that students who are identified with disabilities will be educated to the maximum extent appropriate, in their least restrictive environment, along with their non-disabled peers. This includes regular education, special education, and alternative placements with the use of additional supports and services if necessary. Special Education and related services are available to meet the unique needs of students and are specifically designed for each student.

The district maintains membership in the ECHO Cooperative which assists the school district in fulfilling its obligation to the districtā€™s students with disabilities by providing a continuum of of special education services. If necessary, students may also be placed in nonpublic special education programs or special education facilities.

The studentā€™s placement can be at their home school or as close as possible to the school that he or she would attend without a disability.
