
Dr. Lawrence continues his tours visiting students and staff throughout our busy campuses! This week, he spent time at Holmes Elementary School and Bryant Elementary School.







It’s Gala Season! District 152 Superintendent Dr. Reginald Lawrence, Harvey Board of Education members and staff joined other districts for the 2nd Annual UNCF Gala on Friday night. This event provides needed scholarships to high school students in our community.








We are so proud and honored to have an amazing partnership with our former Holmes School student, Dr. Shaniqua Jones. Dr. Jones works with our staff and families on areas of mental health to family goal setting. She is always welcomed back home!



"Once a teacher, always a teacher!" Last week, Dr. Lawrence visited Whittier and Maya Angelou School to introduce himself to some of the staff and students. The new superintendent even had to remember his skills as a former math teacher when a student got stumped on a problem.

Last night, Dr. Lawrence was welcomed to the district by staff, parents and community members during his official "Meet & Greet" at Maya Angelou School! Dr. Lawrence, joined by his wife Dr. Pandora Lawrence, spoke to the community about our strategic plan and how we’ll meet our goals.
Those in attendance shared their Harvey history and stories to give a glimpse into our community. Dr. Lawrence shared that he is ready to lead, and ready to move forward TOGETHER!


Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Maya Angelou School at 4:30 p.m. to welcome Dr. Lawrence to the Harvey Community! Open to all district parents, students and elected officials.


Principal Anderson recently gave Superintendent Dr. Lawrence a tour of Bryant Elementary! He enjoyed building mobiles with the kindergarten students during STEM class and sitting in on a math class (his favorite subject).




Congratulations to the Harvey School District Spelling Bee champions! We’re incredibly proud of each student participant that competed in the second annual event last night. Thank you to all of the staff members and families who attended!

Last week, Superintendent Dr. Lawrence visited staff and students at Riley Early Childhood Center. These young scholars will always brighten up any cold, dreary day!




As a reminder, tomorrow, Jan. 19, is the end of quarter two and students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m.


We’re proud to have been a part of the Harvey Park District Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., event this past weekend! Thank you to all of our Harvey community members for attending!




"The freedom bell is still ringing."
Superintendent Dr. Lawrence celebrated the life and mission of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., at the event at South Suburban College in South Holland. We’re proud to see our community unite to celebrate, honor and move forward together.





In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, our buildings will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15.


The second quarter ends next week on Friday, January 19! Students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. Great work so far students, let’s finish the school year strong in the second semester!
