Our Lady Warriors 7th grade basketball team is ranked the number one seed in the Regional Competition! This afternoon (Nov. 13 at 4:15 p.m.), the undefeated team will play at Chicago Heights Middle School.
Coach Valente and the Lady Warriors have been working hard all season. Come out and show your support as they push for another regional championship!










Congratulations to Jeremiah Harris Mitchell on his position as National Junior Honor Society President! Jeremiah is an 8th grader who is active in many clubs and groups at Brooks Middle School including Drumline, Choir, Drama and Broadcasting Club. He is excited about this experience and looks forward to community-based initiatives and learning more about how he can help others.


In observance of Veterans Day, there will be no school tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 10.


Last week Holmes Elementary School celebrated Red Ribbon Week! Students learned about the importance of living a drug-free life, received different Red Ribbon items, and had a Red Ribbon Spirit Week. On Tuesday, students were "Drug Free, from their Head to their Toes." The students really went all out!






Last week, Brooks Middle School held their Annual Trunk or Treat event! Students came back to school to some creative tables and spooky costumes. Ms. Buchanan's "Ursula's Poor Unfortunate Souls" table from Disney's Little Mermaid, was a big hit!

Our Superintendent Dr. Lela Bridges-Webb absolutely loves the pumpkin patch! Thank you to our curriculum coordinator, Mrs. Graton for this wonderful display from our school.






Our youngest learners from Riley Pre-K and Birth to 3 classes celebrated Halloween in their awesome costumes! We loved having the students Trick or Treat down the halls of the Central Office.






Our district PBIS program promotes positive behavior within our school buildings. Students who are recognized for their positive behavior have a chance to win prizes each month! The PBIS raffle winners for the month of October include Verania Orozco (4th Grade), Georven Johnson Jr. (2nd Grade), Maximillian Santana (1st Grade).

Former NFL player and Harvey School District 152 alum Kapri Bibbs recently visited Bryant Elementary School! It was such a special treat to have Mr. Bibbs back “home” to visit our students!

Brooks Middle School recently held a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) Kick-off Assembly! Staff wore their PBIS T-shirts, the Brooks Middle School Drumline performed and there was a competitive round of staff versus student tug-of-war!
