The Brooks Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society is returning! Due to the dedication of Teacher Charwana Morgan, we will once again have students participating in this amazing group. The induction ceremony will take place on March 29, 2023 6:00p.m. at Brooks Middle School. Ms. Morgan says “As a parent of former District 152 NJHS students, I understand how important it is to be a part of the program. NJHS opened doors for my children to receive full academic scholarships to prestigious universities and it is an honor to be able to assist our students with the road to success as well.”

In honor of Black History Month, our District 152 staff showed off their door decorations. Check out Brooks Middle School Social Worker-Ms. Buchanan's “HBCU Door to Success," featuring school pride hoodies from historically black colleges and universities. Also, look at Mrs. Conley, showing off her Black History “Wall of Fame” and her “Hidden Figures” door honoring Katherine Johnson, who’s mathematical calculations helped NASA astronauts get to the moon and back. Great Job, Brooks. Stay tuned for more decorations and events!
