Today is School Lunch Hero Day! Each day, our cafeteria staff members provide healthy and substantial meals for our students. We’re grateful for this team and all they do to support our students to keep their minds ready for learning!

We love to hear from our staff members about why they love working at Harvey School District 152! Tyler Jones is a first grade teacher at Whittier Elementary and shared a bit about her passion for teaching and learning.
“I enjoy working in this district, primarily, because it has helped me gain a wealth of knowledge through professional development to broaden my experience as a teacher. Through the professional development sessions, I have perfected my teaching skills of curriculum standards and teaching strategies to meet the needs of my students. Increasing my competency allows me to better serve my students and aid in the advancement of their education. It is my desire to consistently provide a classroom that is welcoming, respectful, and supportive. I am passionate and committed to ensuring that my influence reaches far beyond the doors of my classroom, which is why I am committed to connecting with each student’s family. I pride myself on being an approachable collaborator and communicator to ensure I provide my students with an optimal education.”
